China Glaze - Free Love.

Applied with two coats and Seche Vite top coat:

I loveeee this colour so so much! And I love China Glaze's the whole formula and the brush handle make these super nice to apply. This is an orange with gold under tones so it's more of a burnt orange then a neon. But it's still really bright the only problem I've had is ...

Visable nail line! It's not really obvious but I know it's there and it annoys me. I have an orange cream by Nails Inc. which I'm going to use as a base coat when I next use this. Hopefully that will sort the VNL problem out. :)

Hello Competition Prize.

Soo a couple of weeks a go Cassie over at They've Created A Monster ... had a blog competition and I was lucky enough to be one of the winners! I still can't believe it because I never win anything. :D She let me know this morning that it had been dispatched from UK customs and would be here either tomorrow or Saturday. How shocked was I to find it had come while I was at work?! Very. :D And I bet you're all dying to know what she sent me?

Thank you so much for everything you sent! I love it all and I can't wait to use it. Such a generous prize. I'll get a little thank you gift out to you soon. :D

Face Of The Day.

I wasn't going to put this up today because I just couldn't photograph it right, the colours look less bright then what they actually are and I just don't think it looks as good as yesterday but hey ...

It doesn't look blended properly in the middle picture, but I fixed it right after.

Face Of The Day.

I was awake last night (yet again) and was messing about with some stuff and came up with this, but I re-did it this morning and this is my better version. :D

Face:
M.A.C Moisture Lush Cream.
GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer.
M.A.C Matte Gel.
M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer - NW15.
M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid - NW15.
M.A.C Powder Blush - Well Dressed.
M.A.C Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.

Since I used eyeshadows from my Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette the only way I can show you what colours I used is like this:

Eyes:
M.A.C Prep + Prime - Light.
Eyeshadow 1. (highlight).
M.A.C Paint Pot - Blackground. (outer corner, crease).
Eyeshadow 2. (all over lid), Eyeshadow 4. (outer V, crease), Eyeshadow 3. (above crease).
M.A.C Liquid Eye Liner - Boot Black. (upper lashline).
Powerpoint Eyeliner - Engraved. (water line, lower lashline).
Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara.

Lips:
M.A.C Lipstick - Close To Real.

GOSH Holographic (549) Nail Lacquer.

Applied with 2 and a half coats and Seche Vite coat:

Ok, so before I got this I did my research on Google and found that a lot people were having trouble using holographic nail polishes because of the formulation and the way they apply.

I saw someone blog about this who had used 4 coats of this polish for it to look fine. FOUR coats! That's just crazy.

It goes on kind of patchy with the first coat but the second one soon fixes that. I did find that I got a few bald spots after applying the second coat but I just left it to dry and went over the few that need doing again.

Love this polish. So sparkly. :D

The only thing I would say is don't use a basecoat. Holographics do not apply at all well or stick to basecoats.

Radiant Babe Beauty Haul 1.

If you're looking for a site that sells cheap O.P.I and China Glaze, (because I know the UK prices are ridiculous!) Radiant Babe Beauty is definitely worth looking at. I think they're all £6.99 a bottle. And as anyone in the UK that buys O.P.I will know, they are usually sold for £9.99 and upwards. Which is just insane. They also do Konad, Ardell and a whole bunch of other stuff.

Click to enlarge the photo, it looks so much better bigger.

I couldn't wait and quickly swatched these just before I posted this and they look amazing! I just wish my nails would hurry up and grow back quicker. Hate having them short. So I don't plan on reviewing either of the China Glaze's till I get some more growth. :( Coz they'll look nicer then.

I also decided to try these out since recently I haven't been able to get my eyebrows exactly the same and it annoys the hell out of me. So I'm hoping these are going to work a treat. :D

Oh My, I Actually Purchased Something Non M.A.C?!

Anyone that knows me will know that I love love love sparkly, shiny, glittery things. So when I saw this What Style Is To Nickel video I was like, omg I HAVE to get those holographic things. So that's what I did and what was even better was Superdrug were doing 3 for 2 on GOSH. ;D

L-R Darling (134) Velvet Touch Lipstick, Holographic (59) Nail Lacquer, GOSH Holographic Silver (09) Effect Powder:

I also wanted to get the new Maybelline Pulse Perfection mascara as it's £5 off in Superdrug at the moment, but of course the display was totally empty. So off I went to Boots. Had to pay full price for it, but I've paid way more for Dior mascaras.

I've only half tried it and it's quite good but I still think Dior Blackout will always be my HG.

As always I'll be reviewing everything as soon as I've had a chance to properly use them all.

Agyness Goes Black.

This is something I never thought I'd see.

Pictures from www.dailymail.co.uk.

These were taken Tuesday night in New York at the Coco Before Chanel premiere. (Which I so want to see!)

Do we like? I know a lot of people are saying it doesn't suit her but I personally think that's down to the fact that we've been used to seeing her with blonde hair for so long. I like it! :D

GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer Review.

Almost 2 weeks ago I posted this blog on the GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer. Now I’ve finally had a chance to use it and not breakout (luckily!) I can review it.

What the bottle says:
GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer is a perfect base for all make up. It fills in fine lines and deep pores in the skin, creating a uniform, matte and silky soft surface, enabling the easy and smooth application of foundation. The primer can be used after daily moisturiser or on clean skin. The formula is perfume and preservative free.

I was super excited to try this because the packaging is so so much better then M.A.C’s Prep + Prime Face, much as I love that it can be slightly greasy but I’ll go into that in another post, when I compare the two.

At first I thought this was almost identical to the Matte Gel from M.A.C. It’s a clear gel but it’s not super thick, so easily absorbed into the skin. Which is good. I don’t want to be waiting around for my face to dry. It does leave the skin really smooth and more importantly, matte. I don’t know what it is but I hate any kind of shine on my face. I just can’t stand it. Matte all the way so this is the perfect primer. The only problem being is it has no SPF what so ever. I think I’ll be using this more in the colder months and going back to M.A.C in the summer because I really want that face protection. I would definitely repurchase though because the packaging is also a lot better. It's air tight and the thing at the bottom (I don't know what you call it?) pushes the primer up so none is wasted.

A Small Purchase From Work.

Just a little purchase that I got from work today. I remember always seeing this advertised in magazines when I was in my teens. Since it was only £2.99 I thought I might as well buy it and see what it’s like.
I did try it earlier and I hated the texture of it but I’ll be doing a review on this in a week or so.

Anyone else tried this? What did you think of it?

M.A.C In High Def Review.

Cameras everywhere, media madness, instant images flashed around the world in seconds. You ARE being photographed! Makeup designed for the new-technology demands of the professional world, for girls and boys who want to look good no matter who's looking ...

When I saw the swatches for these two lipsticks on Temptalia, I was like I must get those. They looked amazing. I wasn't that bothered by the Face & Body Foundation as it doesn't have enough coverage. I didn't realise we were getting it this month before America! First time for everything though. ;)
Close To Real is a light neutral peach pink with a Lustre finish.
High Def is a mid tone neutral coral with an Amplified Creme finish.
Let's save the best till last, shall we?! High Def isn't as coral as I thought it would be, thank goodness, I dislike coral on myself. It's definitely MLBB! (My lips but better). I think this would be a rally wearable shade for most skin types. Close To Real is my absolute favourite lip product ever! I've only had it for 25 hours but oh my. It's the perfect nude for my skintone, just lighter then NW15. I know people spend absoloutely ages searching for the perfect nude. I feel lucky being this is the first neutral lipstick I've bought in quite a few years. I always thought the Lustre finish was pretty, bla. I never thought it would give that much coverage over really pigmented lips. This does! I'm not going to be able to limit myself to one.

I tried doing the whole lip swatch thing and I hated how they all looked, so I promise to do 2 FOTD's with them both asap. :)

M.A.C Love That Look Review.

I know this is so overdue but I was waiting to get the Pearlglide Eye Liners. Sorry. :(

M·A·C Starflash Eye Shadow: A special return appearance of this incredibly intense super pearly, astro-creamy, rich and frosted shadow that makes all eyes a super-nova ... in 12 fabulous limited-life shades! Love That Look? Everybody does!

Before these were released I heard a lot of talk about how amazing the Starflash formula was. So, I of course had to try it myself. Everyone was getting Smoke & Diamonds but I knew that if I did, it'd just be a colour I'd hardly ever wear. I like bright eyes so opted for two of the bright colours from this collection.
Rated 'R' is a bright yellow green.Moving on, I love the finish of these they're so smooth and go on so well. I love using both of these colours together and on there own. They're slightly frosted so
Strike A Pose is a dirty/deep blue green, which looks nothing like the online swatch. It looks closer to being identical to Clarity and it couldn't be further from it.
you get some shimmer and they last really well on the lid.

Flu - By - Blu is, according to the site, a light blue with blue glitter. It really isn't that much of a light blue. It's more navy, almost black with bright blue glitter.
Rave is a deep purple with purple glitter.
These are amazing! I tried them on my water and lower lash line last night and they last for so long! And you don't get that annoying smudgy stuff after a while in the outer corners of your eyes. I know I can't explain it very well but I expect you know what I mean. ;) These are so soft and creamy. I hardly used any pressure to get the coverage in the swatches and they didn't need going over loads of times to look as dark as they should. I really wasn't sure whether I was going to get these but I'm so glad I did. I like all things sparkly, especially these.

M.A.C Haul.

I can't believe the M.A.C man waited till I was at work to deliver this little bunch of goodies. I think it's because he knew I wanted it so much.

Sorry for the quality of the colour in the pictures. I always use natural sunlight but there was no sun! :(

Sooo looking forward to using these. I've used a couple things and I am in total love. For me, Close To Real is thee perfect nude for my skin tone. I need another. :D Will be reviewing these things soon.

Face Of The Day ... All Though, Really It's Night?!

Yesterday was my brothers 18th birthday (oh my, I feel old!) so of course we decided to visit the pub this evening. Personally I dislike making loads of effort just for the pub because then I feel 'over done'.

This evening though I was having a look around and decided to use 2 things I've neglected for quite a long time. :( A Paint Pot and a Reflects Glitter.

This is my favorite FOTD out of all 3 (I really should do more?!) of them but please excuse the dry skin on my nose. I don't know why it was doing that.

All products are M.A.C unless otherwise stated.

'Oh my word, it's not M.A.C?!'

For all of this year and most of last, I was a slave to M.A.C's Face Prep + Prime SPF 50. Much as I love this I hate the packaging. I always end up squeezing too much out and then it goes to waste.

So yesterday while I was in town I bought something from a drugstore brand, for the first time in over a year and a half ...

This is not the review for it as I've only used it a couple of times. So I need to see if it breaks me out, which I really hope it doesn't as this is holding up as well as M.A.C's Primer.

Nails Inc. - The Mall.

Applied with two coats and Seche Vite topcoat:

I asked my Dad to choose which colour I should paint my nails because I couldn't decide yesterday. He of course replied 'that really dark metallic blue that I love!' And I love it too.

It can appear quite a few different colours, depending on lighting. It can seem a very dark navy, with no shimmer in quite dull. In bright light it transforms into the most amazing dark but bright blue. It also has a purple hint to it so when certain lights hit it, it looks purpley blue. :D

This is definitely one of my favs!

Now it's September, I'm on a misson to do as many posts as possible to make up for my slack-ness last month.
