Push The Edge Cut Crease FOTD / A Few Ideas That I Need Opinions On Please.

Ok, so last night I decided to have a little play around with my make up and was looking to try something different. I have never managed a cut crease before so I watched the What Style Is To Nickel - 3D Cut Crease Tutorial and did it at the same time. I ended up coming up with this. The original version was done at about 3/4 this morning and I think it turned out pretty good for a first attempt.

Here is my second attempt on both eyes:

Face:
M.A.C Moisture Lush Cream.
M.A.C Prep + Prime Face SPF 50.
M.A.C Matte Gel.
M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer - NW15.
M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid - NW15.
M.A.C Powder Blush - Well Dressed.
M.A.C Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion.
M.A.C Eyebrow Pencil - Stud.
The lightest colour from the Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette (All over lid).
M.A.C Eyeshadow - Carbon (Cut crease).
M.A.C Kohl Power - Feline (Cut crease, lower lashline) (LE).
M.A.C Pigment - Push The Edge (Above crease) (LE).
M.A.C Pigment - Pink Opal (Highlight).
M.A.C Lashes - 41 (LE).
Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara.

Lips:
M.A.C Lipstick - Snob.

This is alot more dramatic then my last FOTD, so what are we thinking about this? I know it's not everyones cup of tea but I'd love to know what you all think about it. Criticism is also good.

A few things I want to mention, I have now hit 73 followers and I always said if I got to 50 I would do some kind of giveaway but at the time I was short of cash and didn't, so I said ok when I get to 60, but again, short of cash. Now I have got to 70 I really want to. I won't be getting any money for a week and a half yet, so there are no prizes yet. But who would be up for this? I'm not sure what this would entail as of yet, or what the prizes would be. Any ideas on either of these would be brilliant. It's not going to be a gigantic giveaway because if/when I get to 100 I would want to do a bigger better one then. I just want to thank all of my subscribers because I'd probably still be talking to myself if it wasn't for you. I know I don't always get a chance to comment over on your blogs but I promise I always read them. :)

Sorry for the really long FOTD, but I hope you like it. :)

Feeling Blue? Face Of The Day.

I know to some this is quite a daring look but I love drawing lots of attention to my eyes, especially using bright colours. Using neutral colours on my eyes actually makes me really quite uncomfortable.

Apologies for the horrid looking skin, I've not been sleeping at all right and it's catching up with me. :(

This is what I did this morning:

Face:
M.A.C Moisture Lush Cream.
M.A.C Prep + Prime Face SPF 50.
M.A.C Matte Gel.
M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer - NW15.
M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid - NW15.
M.A.C Powder Blush - Well Dressed.
M.A.C Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion.
M.A.C Mineralize Eye Shadow - Family Silver; The lighter colour (brow highlight).
Urban Decay Eyeshadow - Peace (all over lid, lower lashline), Jinx (crease).
M.A.C Liquidlast Liner - Aqualine (upper lashline).
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil - Zero (upper lashline), Electric (lower lashline).
Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara.

Lips:
M.A.C Lipglass - Oyster Girl.

M.A.C - Shirelle.

I know there's a lot of people who always insist they have trouble with M.A.C polishes. Now I only have 4 but I've had no trouble with any of them. No streaking, no nothing and Shirelle has to be the best out of the lot.

Applied with two coats and Seche Vite top coat:

It literally is the brightest red I have ever seen. I thought it looked too much like Nails Inc. - St James at first but it that has a slightly more orange tone to it and a horrid formula. Whereas this applied amazingly! No streaking what so over and full opaqueness in 2 coats.

New favourite polish I think. ;)

Urban Decay Book Of Shadows Volume II.

This Book Of Shadows contains:

Travel Size (3.7ml - full size is 10ml) Primer Potion.

24/7 Eye Pencils (0.8g - full size 24/7 Eye Pencils are 1.2g):
Zero - Flat black.
Bourbon - Medium brown with flecks of gold shimmer.

Eyeshadows (16 x 0.8g - Regular Urban Decay single shadows are 2.5g):
Pervision - Charcoal almost matte black with a slight silver shimmer.
Gunmetal - Frosty deep silver with light silver sparkle.
Ecstasy - Medium purple with pink shimmer.
* AC/DC - Deep purple/silver with a silver sheen.
* Nylon - Medium bronze with gold shimmer.
Sellout - Light bronze with a frosted finish.
* Mushroom - Dark brown/taupe with bronze shimmer.
* Sphynx - Light candy pink with pink sheen and some glitter.
Half Baked - Metallic bronze/gold.
Twice Baked - Deep brown with a slight bronze shimmer.
Midnight Cowboy Rides Again - Light gold/taupe with lots of glitter.
YDK - Medium frosted brown.
* Jinx - Bright metallic blue.
Flipside - Frosted blue/green.
* Homegrown - Bright green with gold sheen.
* Misdemeanor - Deep green with a lighter green shimmer.

* = These shades are only available in this palette.

24/7 Eyeliners - These eyeliners are super pigmented and really creamy. Once applied you have a good few minutes to smudge them in, if you wish, and then they do not budge easily when set. I personally have a problem with wearing pencil eyeliner on my upper lashline becauase I find it always transfers but I did not find this with either of these. Brown is not a colour I would usually wear and when I picked this up I thought it would be the only thing I didn't use but I think the shimmer makes it stand out from a regular brown eyeliner and I really quite like it.

Eyeshadows - These are really soft, which I was not expecting. I was expecting to work quite hide for a good colour pay off, with these it is not the case. As well as the liners, these are also really pigmented. Good selection of colours, something for everyone. Only minor thing I don't like is the glitter fallout from MCRA, so watch out for that but all the other shadows are amazing and compliment each other really well.

The swatches are all done in natural daylight and are all one swatch only except Perversion which was two.

M.A.C In Store Haul.

I love love love my M.A.C but it's a bit of a misson to get to Plymouth, 2 and a half hours on the train. An hour and a half if you drive, which I can't legally. And the fact that I wasn't exactly sure where it was stopped me from going to look for it. Which meant for the past 2 years I have got all my M.A.C off the official website and had to use numerous blogs for real to life swatches. Some of the ones on the site can be appauling. Ahem. Moving on.

I'd heard on quite a few blogs that people have had bad experiences with going to M.A.C counters because the staff pay little or no interest to them. I didn't have that trouble as soon as I made my way over from Urban Decay they were all like wow I love your make up etc etc and being really friendly. I of course admitted I was a M.A.C addict at heart. Off I went to look at the brushes then one of the MUA's was like if you're going to get brushes you really should get the Cleanser. I was like it's ok, I already have it! She replied with, oh yes, I forgot you're a true M.A.C addict! They asked if I need help and I said that I was fine and they left me to it. I swatched Lipsticks, the new Dazzleglass's and Lipglass's and the same girl came over and handed me some wipes so I could get rid of the sticky mess all over my hand and asked if I would like her to get me the ones I had picked out. At this point I asked her about Back 2 M.A.C - ing and gave her a carrier bag load of stuff she counted it all out and gave me 3 items back for next time and told me I could have my 3 Lipsticks that I had picked out, free. Then kept all the things I'd picked out behind the counter for when I was ready to pay. One of them also made a comment on how suprised they were that I didn't have the Liquidlast Liners that I picked out. I said I didn't think they'd be that good and she informed me they were waterproof, which I didn't know. I ended up putting back a few things because I didn't want to put any money on my card, I just wanted to use the cash I had. I told her how much I wanted to get it down to and I took off a few eyeshadows I can live without for now. She then handed me my reciepts and explained that she'd crossed through the things she'd taken off and that it was more then the amount I said I had (By £8 give or take) but said she'd let me have it for said amount. I'm really not sure she would have done that if I wasn't spending as much as I did. But needless to say I went away happy and 3 days later and I'm still on a high about it.

Sorry for the mega long post, just wanted to put my first experience out there as I have read some bad ones but these girls were genuinely friendly and helpful.

What I got:

I will be reviewing everything I got at M.A.C because all of these products are amazing.

Urban Decay Haul.

Walking into House Of Fraser (Plymouth) for the first time ever was like walking into a dream. I had to tear myself away from the gigantic M.A.C display in the window first though. ;D I hot footed it straight past M.A.C as I knew that would be the last place I wanted to go, that way I could spend my remaining cash. What happens to be right next to the M.A.C counter? An Urban Decay one! :D

As no where close to me sold this I decided I'd have a look, expecting it to be pretty meh. There has been so much hype on the Primer Potion but more on that later, that I was hesitant to believe it. As I was browsing the products the SA was telling me how good the shadows were while I was admiring them and she kindly pointed me in the way of the Volume II Book Of Shadows. She then asked if I would be willing to let her redo my make up. It was fine besides creasing in my eyeshadow. (Gone are the days of M.A.C Prep + Prime Eye!) I agreed and she got to work on taking everyhthing off and reapplying. Lovely, lovely girl though, American and really down to earth. I honestly felt like I was with a best friend that I'd known for years, I was that comfortable. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of what she did because we got back on the last train and I didn't get home till 11 so I looked slightly tired. She started the makeover at about 2.30 or so? And I didn't sleep till 2.30AM so I had my make up on for a good 11 hours and it still looked amazing as when she first applied it, I left it on as long as I could because I really didn't want to take it off. After making my purchases we bidded farewell and she made me promise I would come back and let her do my make up again because she loved doing bright, sparkly and dramatic eyes.

Here's what I got, that I felt in no way pressured to buy:

Reviews to follow.

Lush Haul.

On Thursday I made a visit to the Lush shop in Drake Circus (Plymouth), if you haven't been there and you live in the south you should! It's amazing. I was on such a high from Urban Decay and M.A.C (I'm doing the blogs back to front, I know!) that was until I got to Lush.

So in Fi and I go with all our bags as this was one of the last places we were visiting and we were both in such a good mood until one of the sales assistants really really pissed me off! (So much so that I needed that swear word!) Now I know if you're an SA you must have to suggest things to people and tell them about offers but she would not give it up. Firstly she was all like, do you want any help and I politely replied no thank you. Then 2 seconds later she was back again oh why don't you come and try this. I was like no, really I'm fine. Then as we walking round past the shower jellies she was like give me your hand and shoved this blue stuff into it, when I didn't ask for it to be there in the first place. Then she noticed my M.A.C bag and was like omg you have make up? I was like yes. She was like what've you bought, what've you bought? I was just like make up ... ¬_¬ She was like I know but get it out show me, I wanna see! I'm sorry love but no. I had 16 items in that bag (not boasting, just saying) and I don't want to get them all out just to show you what they are. Good lord. She really persisted. Going on at us the whole time we were there. There was also 3 other SA's there and they left me to it like I asked. But oh no would you like to try this? Smell this! Did you hear about this offer?

SHUT UP CUBE HEAD!

When I go again I will be avoiding the shop like the plague if she is in there. Has anyone else had an expierence like this in Lush?

Moving on, this is what I got:

I also had the Star Melt but I used it last night.

Shall review these soon. :)

Lush Star Melt Review.

Do forgive me if this review is a little rubbish, haven't done anything for a while.

Melt into a bath of sugar sweetness. This festive Luxury Bath Melt smells just like our best-selling Snow Fairy. As it melts in the hot water, the shea and cocoa butters create a skin softening blend, while the icing sugar makes the water creamy and soothing. It's the icing on the cake for all snow fairies and mortals who seek fairy magic and lovely pink water.

It's Christmaaaaas. Oh god. :| I said the c word. I know, I know, no one wants to even think about that yet but Lush have recently released their Christmas range and I checked it out in store yesterday. Please excuse the glitter (From my Flosty Gritter) and the random blue stuff, I don't know where that came from. And also the fact that this isn't orange. It is infact pink but the flash wouldn't pick anything up besides over exposed whiteness (helpful) so I had to use the artifical bathroom lighting. But yes. If you didn't know the main ingredient in this is icing sugar. Would you believe it?! It also contains cocoa butter, cold pressed organic starflower oil and shea butter. And it has that wonderful Snow Fairy scent. If you're not a fan of sweet things then this really isn't for you.

So I was only going to use half of this in my bath but then I thought oh what the hell let's have the whole thing, I deserve it. ;) I popped it in under running water and noticed it did take a while to get softer so I decided to help it along the way ...

I actually was quite tempted to lick my hands a little bit, it smelt that good. After I done that I realised I didn't have plain water anymore ...

I had pink water that smelt of sweeties. :D I forgot to mention this is my first ever Lush bath and what an amazing one it was that. I really didn't want to get out until I was that wrinkly I figured I had to at some point. :( Can't comment on the scent lasting as I put something on afterwards that is scented so I can smell that. But I really do love this and if you like sweet smelling bath products I urge you to try this. I'm not sure if this is limited edition so try it while you still can.

I'm Back. :)

Yes I am. Did you miss me? Nah, didn't think so. :P But yes I'm back, and have lots of blogs to do. I just knew that if I did it when I was feeling crappy I wouldn't have but as much effort into it.

Anyway ...

So I ordered a tiny little M.A.C haul when I got paid on Friday, just because I wanted to make sure I got the much talked about, Feline Kohl Power. And now it's all mine. :D I shall be getting more from the Dazzleglass collection, not so sure on the others but I've been shopping with M.A.C for nearly two years now and I have never been to a counter or a free standing store. But I'm off to Plymouth on Thursday and there's a counter there and a Lush store. :D Ooh I'm excited.

This is what I got today:

It only dawned on me today, that when I buy stuff from M.A.C I only review and swatch the limited edition things. So ... from now on I'm going to be reviewing everything I buy. :)

Expect reviews for this little lot sometime after I've been to Plymouth.
