Someday Summary - Monday.

Since I like posting things other than a whole bunch of reviews, I deicided to break it up a bit and pinch this idea from Zoe but before you go getting on your high horses, yes, I asked permission first. ;) I don't want to be accused of copying.

Girl About Town lippie, pictured above. I B2M-ed last week when I was at my closest counter. I actually wanted Full Fuchsia but it was sold out so scanned the lippies for a bright pink that caught my eye and it happened to be this one. I decided to wear it to work yesterday. I got lots of compliments and am really loving it with barely there contoured eyes and fresh skin. Shall be reviewing that as soon as I can because it's gorgeous.
It's that time of year where everyone buys insane amounts of food. The snow at the moment, is not helping matters. So I'm rushed off my feet at work. Sad as it may be, I only wanted snow so I could get some pretty pictures on my Canon. That's it. I managed to do so but now I'd like it to go away. I can't remember the last time I saw a post man in our road. How are you enjoying the snow?
I'm looking forward to the fresh slate a new year creates. I'm sure some drunken antics will welcome 2011 in but I'm definitely looking forward to a better year.
I'm also going to be 22 in a little over two weeks. This scares me a little bit. I feel awfully old, even though in theory I know I'm not.
I found something amazing in work the other day which I need to buy as soon as I get paid. It looks awesome but I'm keeping it top secret for now! All I'm saying is it's something for your hair. ;)
I'm looking for ideas on ways I can wear my hair up. I always have to have it up for work. The past two days I've just been wearing it in a high ponytail teamed with a leopard print Alice band from H&M (which I love!). Surely there's more exciting ways to jazz it up a bit?! Help a sister out?

I think that's about it for now. Would you like to see more of these posts? Obviously they won't be everyday but maybe a weekly/fortnightly thing, what say you?

Do feel free to let me know what you've been up to! I'd love to hear.

A Travelling FOTD.

Hey guysssss! Bit late in posting this one. It's actually from Saturday.

I made a trip to see one of my besties and I needed something that didn't need touching up, as it takes the best part of 2.5 hours on the train there. Plus I was too busy enjoying my time and mostly, window shopping. So I didn't want to be checking my eyeshadow wasn't halfway down my face every five minutes.

So I used a combination of my last two FOTDs. One. Two.

Sorry about the completely accidental bewbs. I was trying to hurry up so I wasn't late, so didn't bother checking the photos. And these were the breast ones. :/ Typical!

Face:
Illamasqua Matte Primer.
M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer - NW15.
M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid - NW15.
M.A.C Blush Ombre - Azalea Blossom. (LE)
M.A.C Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.
M.A.C Eyebrow Pencil - Stud.

Eyes:
M.A.C Fast Response Eye Cream.
Urban Decay Primer Potion.
M.A.C Eyeshadow - Phloof! (brow highlight, inner corner highlight).
Urban Decay Eyeshadows - Snatch (all over lid), Suspect (crease), Smog (outer V).
Illamasqua Precision Ink - Abyss (upper lasline).
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil - Electric (lower lashline, waterline).
Dior Blackout Mascara.

Lips:
M.A.C Lipstick - Viva Glam GaGa. (LE)

It lasted pretty well. I did look rather shiny by the end of the day but I was too happy to care, to be quite honest!

That was my quick look that I wanted to last all day. What's yours?

Help! I Need Somebody ...

Help, not just anybody,
Help, you know I need someone who is good at their hair tools ...

Pretty sure the Silverstein version doesn't go like that but never mind. ;)

So recently I decided to plait my hair into bunchies, just to cure boredom really and because I wanted to try and wave my hair. Whenever I try and do it, it never comes out exactly how I want it and I'm super fussy when it comes to waves in my hair.

I straightened it then plaited it dry and slept with it in over night.

Two days later I had myself a messy but volumised ponytail. It was messy because I'd just got out of bed.

I also had the perfect waves that I've been craving for such a long time. Please excuse the reuse of this photo from this post, I didn't take any good ones.

Ok. Now this is the tricky part. I want something that I can use to do this instead of doing something that is going to take over night to look perfect.

Now I was thinking one of these is in order:

I found it here for a fairly good price and free delivery.

But I don't know my hair products that's why I'm asking all of you for help!

Are Babyliss products good/reliable?
Have you used one of these before? How was it?
What products can I use to keep the waves looking perfect?
And how the hell do you brush them without them going frizzy?

Remember, I want waves not curls and any help would be amazing!

Jazzy Lips FOTD.

Hey guys! It's my face, again. Two days in a row? Shocker.

I'm finally feeling better about myself in general and learning not to take what other people say to heart, unless they mean something special to me. I've never liked the way I looked very much and that's why I've shied away from doing too many of these.

Now, when I did a poll back along, lots of you wanted to see more posts like this. Is this still the same? Because I really like doing them, I just don't want to seem super vain. I won't be doing them every time I wear makeup, just when I can. Answers on a postcard?

I was quite tired when I got up this morning so decided to go for bright lips so I could skip anything on the waterline. Getting rid of the risk of having liner smudged halfway down my face.

Face:
Illamasqua Matte Primer.
M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer - NW15.
M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid - NW15.
M.A.C Mineralize Blush Duo - Two Virtues. (LE)
M.A.C Eyebrow Pencil - Stud.

Eyes:
M.A.C Fast Response Eye Cream.
Urban Decay Primer Potion.
M.A.C Eyeshadow - Phloof! (brow highlight, inner corner highlight).
Urban Decay Eyeshadows - Snatch (all over lid), Suspect (crease), Smog (outer V).
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil - Bourbon (upper lashline).
Dior Blackout Mascara.

Lips:
Clarins Crystal Lipbalm - Crystal Clear.
M.A.C Lipstick - Pink Nouveau.

I used to be so scared of this lippie when I first got it. I totally didn't buy it because GaGa stated it was her favourite ... No, not me!

I love bright lips and barely there but contoured eye makeup.

What do you think?

The Sunset On A Rainy Day FOTD.

I feel like I'm conning you a little bit with this one as I did it as an EOTD way back. I thought I'd do it again anyway because I wanted something bright and orange today, since it's so horrendous outside.

As it's so grey outside, my face is looking a little whiter then it is in person. Don't mind the ghost like skin though and my crappy brows, I'm tired!

Face:
Illamasqua Matte Primer.
M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer - NW15.
M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid - NW15.
M.A.C Magically Cool Liquid Powder - Truth & Light (highlight). (LE)
M.A.C Eyebrow Pencil - Stud.

Eyes:
M.A.C Fast Response Eye Cream.
Urban Decay Primer Potion.
M.A.C Eyeshadow - Phloof! (brow highlight, inner corner highlight).
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil - Electric (lower lashline, waterline).

Sleek Eyeshadows from the Sunset Palette:

1 (all over lid), 2 (crease), 3 (outer V), 4 (lower lashline).
Illamasqua Precision Ink - Abyss (upper lashline).
Dior Blackout Mascara.

Lips:
Clarins Crystal Lipbalm - Crystal Clear.
M.A.C Lipglass - Viva Glam GaGa. (LE)

Pretty simple but I love it. Although saying that, I love anything with bright blue and generally bright colours.

Have you got the Sunset Palette? What other looks have you come up with? Are you a fan of this look? Let me know!

A Hairy Tale.

Remember, remember the 5th of November how I posted back in June about my experience with Colour B4. I wanted to get all the black out of my hair and it worked to an extent. But the ends of my hair were still a lot darker then the new roots coming through.

I wanted to lighten it without concentrated bleach before dying it red so was using Sun In after I washed it. I only used it a couple of times because I cannot stand blow drying my hair. I hate it and that's how I was using it, since it's not exactly warm enough to sit outside.

I made an informed decision over the past few days with what to do with my hair. So I figured instead of letting the red dye go to waste, I'd use it temporarily.

I couldn't sleep last night so what else could I do at 11PM that was productive? Dye my hair/bathroom tiles, of course!

As you can see it's a lot darker at the ends. Sort of like a reverse Ombre. These photos were taken with flash, also. So the gradient looks more harsh then it is. It actually blends in pretty well.

I've always wanted red hair even though I know it's more than a pain in the behind to maintain. Now I have it temporarily.

What do you think? Do you like? Have you ever dyed your hair red or wanted to?

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother™ Pucker XL Extreme-Plump.

Hello lovely followers. Just once again, would like to clear something up after I got this Formspring. I am still here but if you've ever worked in retail at Christmas, I'm pretty sure you will know how mad it gets and I'm either doing loads of overtime or just wanting to catch up with regular things (360ing, watching DVDs etc) when I'm not. So I haven't left you all, just a bit busy!

Something I've been meaning to review for quite a little while now as I love lip plumping products.

What www.soapandglory.com says:
Super-sizing extra-strength collagen clear lip shine.

Absolutely ridiculips can now be yours.
Apply a fine film of SMP-XL, whenever you’re starting to feel a little ‘down’ in the mouth, and watch low volume lips go: va va va boom! You can also use it on top of your favourite lipliner or lipstick.

What’s inside that counts?
- Lipswell™: natural plant oil infusion.
- Superfill®: Nanovectors.
- Visivolume™: immediate effect lip filler.

Caution - This lipgloss will almost immediately plump, buzz, tingle and zing. (It’s not for the meek of mouth). New Sexy Mother Pucker tryers should finish a couple of tubes of our ‘Original Strength’ SMP Plumpers first, before going to extremes.

I actually have a few of the tinted 'Original Strengths' and have used those but I picked this up because I'm used to lip plumping products. A few years back, I was slightly addicted (no pun intended!) to Dior Addict Lip Maximizer.

On first application like with all the other S&G SMPs you notice the quite strong chocolate scent. Honestly, not a great big fan of it. I'd much rather choose a mild M.A.C Vanilla scent then this but it's bearable. On the plus side it does sort of taste like it though. ;)

Does it do what it says on the tube?

Yes and no.

Yes it is mega tingly and plumps my lips up so they have a smoother appearance. The tingling last for ages and isn't at all uncomfortable but that maybe because I'm not a first time user. The gloss doesn't feel heavy, thick or too sticky but it lasts on the lips for such a long time, even after drinking.

But it doesn't give you that trout pout you might so desperately dream of. I guess I should be thankful for that? I don't think it plumps them up a large amount but I'd still recommend it. It smooths them out and I just love having tingly lips.

Overall I do love this product and I would buy it again.

Have you tried any of the Sexy Mother Puckers? What did you think? Are you fan of the scent? Let me know your thoughts.
