♡ My sleeping pattern is well and truly gone down the drain. I type this as the time is approaching 5 and I'm wide awake. What's up with that? It's super annoying and not doing my skin any favours.
♡ I've been feeling rather rubbish about this blog lately. It's not an attention thing but I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere with it at the moment. I don't want to be having to take breaks again but I see so many other people that are more 'successful' and I wonder what's so bad about me? What do you guys want to see more/less of? I'm fresh out of ideas. I was dreading the day when my Tumblr was getting more hits p/m then this. It's been a long time coming but it's finally happened. :(
♡ People getting stroppy at me for asking them to remove my photographs from eBay listings. Informing me that I get free advertising from it. I don't want your stupid advertising. Anyone else had this trouble?
♡ I think it's about time I dipped my toes in the expensive Chanel waters. I can go on a swatching fest at a counter soon and I'm wondering what I should look out for? Loving the look of Insolente Rouge Allure, such a pretty colour.
♡ Buying skirts. It was something I wanted to do this year and I've bought 2 so far and have plans to get lots of use out of them.
♡ I won't lie to you, I've been feeling kinda down of late so please excuse the rubbish tweets. I don't really know what to do with myself at the moment.
Scott Cornwall Str8 Forward Super Straight is a permanent hair straightening kit with Keratin that conditions hair and can last up to 3 months.
There’s no need for expensive salon treatments and daily hair straightening with Str8 Forward, it adds Keratin, the hairs natural protein, to help maintain its style, saving you time and money.
The soothing chamomile and nettle will replenish any lost moisture and the collagen will fill in any voids resulting from general wear and tear.
Curly, frizzy, bushy or unruly hair will be tamed and straight hair will no longer be an unobtainable dream.
The science bit ...
Str8 forward works by firstly breaking the internal bonds inside the hair – this phase leaves the hair open and able to accept both protein and a new shape. The part B Keratin phase then fills the hair with rich protein. With the new condition settled deep inside, the hair can then be straightened to create super smooth results. Finally the part C fixing cream re-connects those bonds creating that permanent ‘straight’ result.
Not suitable for:
• Henna treated hair
• Heavily bleached hair
• Hair treated with Lye relaxers
• Afro Caribbean Hair
There are 2 types of treatment if you have very curly, non colour treated hair, then Super Straight is the one for you. Alternatively for hair which has been colour treated, is sensitised or generally dry use the Extra Conditioning treatment.
Result will last for an average of 3 months however longevity is based entirely on hair length, longer hair may find the straight sleek pattern lasts beyond 3 months, whilst it is common for very short hair to revert to their previous texture after 6 weeks.
As with Colour B4, you get 3 treatments in the box. A straightening cream, keratin protein and fixing cream.
Now this treatment in total took about 5 hours to do on my hair. It's a very long process and involves a lot of hair washing, blow drying and straightening. I can't remember the exact order as I don't have the instructions to hand.
But this was after the final wash, blow dried:
Pretty straight compared to my normal mess of hair.
Then to finally seal it you have to take minute sections of hair and straighten them between 6 and 12 times. I told my Mum to do 12, just to make sure. This was the longest part of the process.
Here it is after totally straightening:
Now the 2 main rules after you've done this is to not get your hair wet and do not tie it up for the next 3 days. Coz your hair bonds are still being created, therefore if you tied it up, you'd be left with a permanent kink.
So I did exactly that.
Here it is after the first proper wash, air dryed:
What the hell is that?
Where's my super straight hair gone?
We did exactly what the instructions said.
Would I recommend? Hell naw I wouldn't. That's 5 hours of my life I'll never get back.
I've been um-ing and ah-ing over doing this for a little while now. As you'll be able to tell from the pictures, I've barely touched my NY BOS. Now it's not because it isn't beautiful, it is. But I've been travelling a lot between houses recently and the BOS are so bulky and a waste of packaging. So unnecessary. I don't take them anywhere because I literally have no room for it.
I was going to wait till I had Z Palettes as the magnetic bottom of my M.A.C palette is broken, but I just couldn't.
What I needed:
One M.A.C palette with the top tray taken out.
A regular titanium kitchen knife, because it was super thin. You could also use one of those metal nail files.
New York BOS.
Pen and scissors.
Around the shadows there are some visible gaps so I found it best to wedge the knife down that side of the shadow.
Wiggle the knife around till it starts to lift and gradually push it underneath and lift it from the packaging. It's not stuck on too well so it should be too hard.
Clean up any cardboard left stuck to the back.
Cut a piece of magnetic stripping. I just stick this on the remaining glue that's still on the pan. Then label.
Carry on till you've depotted them all!
Doesn't it look much prettier and less bulky in a little magnetic palette?
I shall definitely be doing this with my BOS II just as soon as I get more palettes.
Is this something you've considered? I promise you, it's really easy! If you have, how did you find it? Let me know your thoughts!
No Bad Romance here. If anything this love affair’s going stronger than ever… After The Monster Tour mayhem, Gaga’s back to being our VIVA GLAM Goddess once again , spreading the good word about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women, men and children everywhere. We’re unveiling a hot new shade in spired by The Lady and her passions, in both Lipstick and Lipglass. And by now you (and the world) know every cent from the sale of M∙A∙C VIVA GLAM goes toward the M∙A∙C AIDS Fund. The M∙A∙C World feels like a permanent part of the Gaga Galaxy, doesn’t it? On the VG displayer as limited edition for a full 12 months.
Too me, it looks like a rather versatile nude! Definitely more wearable in my eyes, than VGG1.
Will you be picking these up? I know I will, especaially since every penny goes to the M.A.C AIDS fund.
I've had this shadow for quite a little while now and I must say it is a beauty.
What www.urbandecay.com says:
Our divine collection of high-tech creamy powder eye color will turn your eyes into opulent works of art. Why "Deluxe"? Definitely incomparable, the creamy formula feels like cashmere, blends beautifully, and delivers an even more intense burst of color than regular Urban Decay Eyeshadows. And, Deluxe hues have an even greater fill weight than our regular Eyeshadows - a generous serving.
Tips: Sport these shades alone to make a statement or mix them with your favorite neutrals for a spectacular, yet subdued, effect
I love these shadows. They're super soft and apply really easily with a lot of pigmentation. Definitely not for the faint hearted or if you're just looking for a sheer wash of colour.
I also love how all of these sport a different graphic on the front of the packaging. Makes it easier to find what you want. It even has a good sized mirror on the inside.
Fishnet is an iridescent pink based purple. With a pink shimmery duochrome to it. I'm a big fan of duos!
You can see this in action in an EOTD here. I teamed it with lots of blue based purples so it really stood out against those.
I'm a big fan of UD shadows and these are no exception. Buttery soft with a full on colour spectrum.
The compacts are cute but can be quite bulky if you're carrying a fair few around.
What do you think of the Deluxe shadows? Or Urban Decay shadows in general?
(n) Term used to describe the blueish or purplish skin colour that occurs when there is not enough oxygen in the blood. Can often be seen first in the lips and nailbeds. It is an emergency situation and the person should be brought to a hospital immediately.
I've had this for a little while. Almost a year to be exact, and every since some of you lovely followers caught wind of which colour it was I had on Twitter, I've had so many requests for people to see it.
So this one's for you! It suits me much better with my black hair.
Also please ignore my skin. I still have this aggravating rash and I have no idea what from. :(

I love love love sky blue lips! I haven't worn this out in public yet but I'm seeing The Blackout in April and plan on rocking it then.
♡ Black hair. I know what you're thinking, 'didn't she get rid of that ages ago?' Well yes I did. My natural hair colour dislikes brighter colours. I tried red and it just wouldn't work so I went back to my natural calling and I don't regret it at all. I love black hair, it looks super shiny and it goes with everything. ;) ♡ Blue lips. Fret not, I have a FOTD of this coming up asap. I have had a lot of people request me to do this and I thought it would go better with my darker hair. So my next FOTD is for all of you that have been wanting to see me rock the blue lip. ♡ A Sunday off. I truly hate working them but I won't change to a Saturday because I get extra money for it. I was thankful for the lie in today, especially since it's lovely outside today. ♡ Katy Perry OPI's. I only got a few which I briefly showed in my last WW. They are gorgeous and I am currently obsessed with Black Shatter. I may have to redo my nails this afternoon actually. ♡ Whilst I was wide awake in the early hours of this AM, I had a crazy idea about my Urban Decay BOS. Now I love them but they are so bulky I don't take them anywhere. I YouTubed for deboxing tutorials and it looks pretty easy. I just need a Xacto knife and some Z Palettes and I think I shall be deboxing them. ♡ Ryvitas and Philadelphia. Makes me feel some what healthier and they taste delish. As long as it isn't the regulars of either. ♡ 3 Little lovelies; ♡ Listening to - Only Girl In The World - Rihanna. ♡ Reading - Numerous eBooks on my HTC. ♡ Seeing - The Blackout in April with one of my best friends and his boyfriend.
Since it's a new year, I thought I'd make it my mission to do monthly favourites. So even if I don't manage to post many looks you can still see what I've been rocking.
♥ Too Faced Lip Insurance.
I got this back when Boots were doing that massive 3 for 2 offer for S&TC2. I love this under creamy lipsticks though. It prevents staining, for the most part and stops feathering because I don't own a lip liner and don't really care to. Locks down colour and keeps it where it should be.
♥ Illamasqua Precision Ink - Abyss.
I was sent this as part of the release of The Art Of Darkness collection and have been using it ever since. An amazing waterproof, glossy black. I really should properly review that soon. Definitely on the high scale for it's price range but I would willingly repurchase. The tip is the favourite I've used and I've used many liquid liners in my years.
♥ M.A.C Mineralize Eyeshadow Duo - Family Silver.
I very almost Back 2 M.A.C'd this little gem just before Christmas. But I had a change of heart and the very last minute. I have to admit this isn't my favourite M.A.C product in the world, I like strong colour and pigmentation from my shadows. It went unloved for ages but I recently rediscovered it. When you're looking for a wash of colour with a bold lip or a really pretty highlight, this is perfect. It was limited edition, of course and I'm glad I didn't part with it.
♥ M.A.C Eyebrow Pencil - Stud.
I've finally mastered the art of pencilling in my brows, not that it matters now I have a fringe but I still like to do it. I'm not a massive fan of the nib of this pencil, it doesn't soften easily so you have to press quite hard resulting in too much pigmentation. So I just swipe over it with a cotton bud to take some of it away. It's doing it's job fine for me at the moment though.
♥ M.A.C Studiofix Concealer - NW15.
Covers a multitude of sins. I have no idea what I'd do without this. I have a lot of redness and scarring on my face, this covers it all perfectly without drying it out or making it look 10x worse. Love this stuff! I also love the fact I've been using the same one for about 2 and a half years (I know, I know!) and it's still fine bar the fact I had to depot it.
♥ Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Fire & Ice.
I'm sure it's quite obvious that I am in love with this lippie as I used it in my last FOTD. It's just so easy to apply and last for hours and hours with Too Faced Lip Insurance underneath!
A quick swatch of Family Silver, Fire & Ice, Stud (I broke the nib right before I swatched hence the crappy swatch!) and Abyss ...
Those are my favourites for January. What are yours?
