On Cloud 9 With Benefit.

Following on from my last post, I was too pleased with all my products to wait and post this. I was going to post some other things and space it out but I love this look so had to do it now.

Here's what I did with all my Benefit products I purchased last week:

Face:
Benefit Some Kind-a Gorgeous - Lite.
Benefit Boi-ing - Light.
Benefit Posie Tint.
Benefit High Beam.
M.A.C Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Light.
M.A.C Impeccable Brow Pencil - Taupe.

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Benefit Lust Dust - Cloud 9.
Illamasqua Precision Ink - Abyss*.
Dior Blackout.

Lips:
Benefit Full Finish Lipstick - Flirt Alert.
_________________________________________________________________

I am a sucker for red lipsticks. I currently only have 4, including this new addition. So I wouldn't say that's too bad. Though this is by far my favourite. It's super pigmented and is the perfect cherry red.

An Unintended Benefit Haul.

It's been a very very long time since I've walked into a shop for nothing and come out with a bag full of goodies.

I rarely impulse buy makeup because I like to know lots about it before buying.

But on Tuesday whilst I was waiting around in town for The Inbetweeners movie, I went for a browse in a department store. The day the new Benefit 'They're Real' mascara had been released.

So of course the SA collared me asking if I wanted to try and at first I was like nahhh but then I realised how much time we had to kill and she offered me a make over so I thought I might as well.

She tried the new mascara out on me and I didn't like it but she didn't do a lot of brush wiggling so that could be it? My Mum bought it anyway so I shall try hers and buy it if it's any good.

The SA did amazing things to my skin though and I had to purchase. I didn't want to walk away empty handed (I feel so bad) plus I've been after a new foundation and concealer.

I picked up a couple of extras too, here's what I got:

The much talked about Boi-ing concealer in Light - 01. It's industrial strength and I've heard so many bloggers talk about this.

Some Kind-a Gorgeous in Lite - 01. It's not a full coverage (which I normally go for) but this is amazing and doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything at all.

Lust Duster in Cloud 9. Such a lovely pink frosted colour, reminds me slightly of Pink Opal M.A.C Pigment now I've used it but it was too pretty to leave behind.

Full-Finish Lipstick in Flirt Alert. A beautiful glossy cherry red.

Now this has to be said about Benefit, although some would say they're more for your regular makeup consumer rather than MUAs I am in love with the thought they put into the packaging and I will go into that more in individual reviews. But isn't all just super pretty?

I have a look coming up with all of these products soon!

We Are The Children Of The Night.

♥ I went to see The Inbetweeners a few days ago, and if you haven't seen it you really should. I thought the TV series kind of went down hill but the movie - spot on. I've never laughed so much at a film in my life. Brilliant stuff.

♥ That middle photo is a picture of the clocking in machine at work ... It's 24 hours time ... I'm still not at all used to these early mornings but it's seriously wonderful having the daytimes off. Once I get my sleeping back on track, I will have more time to settle down and blog with any luck. :)

I was just thinking it's Saturday though ... I'm not used to having Fridays off. So I seem to think everything is a day in front when it isn't. I've been like this for two weeks now. :/

♥ I was under the impression it was August. I was awoken yesterday afternoon by the delightful noise of a thunderstorm. I hate them, I cannot express my hatred for them. Today it is torrential raining. What is going on?

♥ I miss The Blackout. I'm currently sat in my room, headphones in, rocking to the set list they played when I went to see them (hence the title). They're playing Bristol in October with We Are The Ocean. I want to go and see them again and since I don't work Thursday nights any more I might just be able to. (Y)

♥ The cats have been doing funny things (like chomping on breadsticks) when I haven't got my phone with me. Typical. But the Little Puss climbed into a freshly washed salad box that was sitting on the oven and let me rest the lid on top. She wasn't bothered by it, she rather liked it. Funny girl. :)

♥ Have you been watching The X Factor? I've got to say, I only watch it for the auditions. I like seeing people making a fool out of themselves.

This isn't much of an update but I wanted to put something up before I make a new post over the weekend.

Let Me Have My Moment.

'Congratulations! You've Been Named a Top 100 Beauty Blogger!'

I am not usually a fan of top blogger lists because of the way they're voted on, so imagine my surprise when SoFeminine.co.uk literally, just this second dropped an email in my inbox. Telling me I had made the list.

Little old me?

'Congratulations on making the list!'

...

I seriously can't believe it! I may only be 80 but that's good enough for me.

Congrats to the other beauties that made the list!

They've personally filled 90 spaces of the top 100 and they want you to recommend your favourite beauty reads to fill up the rest of the gaps!

You can do so by clicking here.

Thank you to all my followers for sticking by this blog even though my posting can be extremely sporadic.

On a minor side note, I deleted my Twitter. And made a protected new one. @bickyb_ So go follow me so I can tweet at you!

I Love That Lavender Blonde.

Let's move on from yesterdays atrocious attempt of a FOTD and let me show you Fridays.

I got paid and my Mum and I finally got our new car, we'd been without one for two weeks. So we did a spot of shopping in a town over from us.

I picked up some amazing Lipsmackers and a bunch of Eylure lashes from Claire's. It's an outlet store so you get 30% off everything. Plus it's 4 times the size (or more) of the tiny one in our town.

I think the most of the shops in the shopping mall we went to our outlet stores. Hallmark were having an amazing half price offer on all Yankee Candles, which I love love love. So I picked up a cinnamon and sugar tumbler. It was the only one I liked they had in a large size. I really wanted apple cider, that one's the best. :(

Anyway, as I didn't sleep Thursday night I went light on the eyes and went for a lipstick I very seldom use, for fear of running out. I don't want to be without it.

Face:
Illamasqua Matte Primer.
M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer - NW15.
M.A.C Studio Tint - Light.
M.A.C Studio Fix Powder - NW15.
Evil Shades Loose Blush - Gossamer.
M.A.C Mineralize Skin Finish - Light.

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow - Virgin (all over lid).
Illamasqua Precision Ink - Abyss.
GOSH Intense Lashes Mascara.

Lips:
M.A.C Lipstick - Lavender Whip. *

* Limited edition.

The much sought after, Lavender Whip. I wish M.A.C would repromote this, I love lilac lips.

I love this look. It makes a statement without being too much or over the top.

Sleek Saturday.

Liloo over at Le Petit Jardin De Liloo has started a new weekly feature on her blog called 'Sleek Saturday'.

'The idea behind Sleek Saturday is to forget whatever grudge you have with the brand encourage myself and whoever who would like to join me, to play with these Sleek products you have in the cupboard and which you don't reach out very often'.

I only have 3 Sleek palettes, Graphite, Circus (which I hate) and Sunset. The latter is my favourite so I decided to go with that.

Prior to this look I had tried 3, yes three, other looks over the course of 2 days.

I still don't like this one but it's too late now!

I used these shadows;

1 - inner corner.
2 - all over lid and slight highlight.
3 - crease.
4 - outer V.
5 - mixed with Evil Shades foiling liquid to make a liner.
6 - lower lashline.

All finished off with a Dazzleglass Creme from M.A.C in My Favourite Pink.

I planned this in my head and it came out much poorer than expected. The colours I chose, look a lot different in the pan but when blended together they all looked way too similar.

Plus my camera was making the colours look a lot more burnt then they were in real life.

I'm glad I managed to use some colours that I've not touched before, like the colour I used for the liner. But I didn't like this look so it's inspired me to try something different with the palette.

This and this are still my favourite looks to date with the Sunset palette.

You can check out Liloo's post here and Cat's post here.

I Hope Your Apple Pie Is Freakin' Worth It!

♥ I've been trying to write this posts for ages but Twitter and YouTube have been distracting me. Not that I mind, I used to be a Twitter addicted and racked up thousands of tweets a month but I seem to have slowed down. I feel like I slipped out of the Twitter loop so if you want someone to talk to, @ me! I always reply and if I don't I may have just missed it because of a flood of @replies, just try again. :)

♥ Last week a supervisor at work gave me a home made red velvet cupcake. Now let me tell you, this women is amazing! She should not be a supervisor at that place, she should be making strawberry daiquiri cupcakes (so good!), cider cake, Boston cream pie cupcakes and whatever else she pulls from her Hummingbird Bakery cookbook. Her cupcakes are godly! And she could totally make a living off them.

♥ The reason I got it was because I'm semi leaving. Semi being the fact I'm still working for the same company, same store, just a different department. I've been on that department for 6 years! Does seem a bit like the end of an era. But onwards and upwards to better things. Like less hours and 6AM starts. But in all honestly, I don't mind those. I'm doing something I much prefer. Though I'm not saying what or where (if you know, you know) since it's a gigantic company and they're pretty harsh with derogatory comments online.

♥ Since I've had a little while off before I start (next week), I've been enjoying the nice weather, sitting outside reading on my Kindle. I just finished up Something From Tiffany's. Very good read though the epilogue annoyed me no end. It's one of those where you think you know what's happening and then it turns out to be a totally different twist. Definitely recommend! I stared on Lauren Conrad's Sugar & Spice last night, a quick light read as I'm almost half way through already. Has anyone read anything by Stephen Kind? Namely The Shining? Loved the movie, plan on reading it next!

♥ Also forgot to add, when it's too hot I've been hiding inside watching more Supernatural, Season 3 now and loving it. Hence the title. Why isn't Jensen Ackles my lover?

How can one resist?

♥ OPI Nail Envy, oh how I love thee. I don't want to speak to soon and jinx it but it's doing wonders for my natural nails at the moment.

♥ I miss my kitty Kitten. :( Looking at pictures makes me sad and I wish I could have him with me but it's just not practical. He's spent the majority of his 6 years, living in a village where he can openly lie in the middle of our street. Since moving out of my Dad's, this house now is just off from a main link road so it's not worth risking having him with me, since he's such an outdoors cat. I miss him though. :(

♥ Lastly, the riots. I'm sure everyone's heard enough about them to last a lifetime. I hope all my readers and their families are all safe. What is the world coming to? 2012 anyone? Please let it be the end soon. I'm just thankfully for living in a little town no one really knows about right now.

Sorry that was such a long update, I feel like I haven't posted anything substantial in a while. Makeup posts soon!

Nubs Nail Art.

I cannot express my hate for doing nail posts when I have short nails. I just find them completely ugly on myself.

But I came up with something pretty cool at 2AM this morning so I just had to show you! I even did a tutorial for you, how nice am I?

First up I coated my nails in O.P.I Nail Envy and two thin layers of China Glaze White On White.

I started with the lightest colour I wanted to use and added random blobs of Illamasqua's neon yellow in Rare.

Next up I took Pool Party from China Glaze's neon collection last summer and did the same.

China Glaze's Kiwi Cool-ada, once again same thing.

Finally finished the blobs with Towel Boy Toy by China Glaze.

Once the nails were totally covered I topped them with O.P.I Black Shatter.

Check this out for amazing an effect!

Awesome, right?

I haven't been loving shatters really, everyone has been wearing them and every company has been releasing them.

So I got bored and decided to do something bright and a little different.

Hope you guys like. What's your favourite way to wear shatter polishes?

Tuesday's Outing.

So on Tuesday my Mumma took me on the train to Plymouth. As I didn't have any money really she paid for me till I get paid.

It was loveeeely, so I though I'd do a little photo blog.

I expect this to be quite picture heavy so if you want to check it out, read on after the jump.
