Rainbow Lucky Charms

Pray For Tilly.

I'm not in the slightest religious but please I can just ask that you send good vibes down my way.

By baby Tilly got taken to the vets yesterday, she was having mini fits. Why, we don't know! And now they're turned into full blown ones.

I've had cats all my life but never been old enough to have to share the pain of losing one and considering I've only had her since March she really doesn't deserve this.

Normal blogging/tweeting will resume once Tilly is home from the vets and my Dad is out of hospital. :'(

You may have already heard about this but I didn't till yesterday and I wanted to post because I was super excited!

Back in March (the date I sent the email using the sites comment form is in my reply email) I emailed Inglot demanding to know when we were getting a UK site since I cannot get to Westfield to purchase. From what I've seen, Inglot looks amazing!

So imagine my surprise when I got a reply yesterday. I'd kind of forgotten about it but look, look!

I can't buy anything at present but I sure will be ASAP!

Doesn't it all look wonderful?

Crash Into Me, At Full Speed.

♥ It's one of my favourite times of year. I love Fall and Halloween. I mean, look at my blog currently!

♥ I'm currently watching The Corpse Bride as I write this and planning a tattoo in relation to the film. I do love my Tim Burton films and this time of year is the perfect time to watch them. I like to watch them with subtitles on and sing along.

♥ I'm usually not a fan of Disney stars come musicians. And I was never a fan of Demi's music but I loved Skyscraper as soon as I first heard it. The album is just as good. I also find a lot of the problems she suffered with in the past, are extremely easy to relate to. At least for me.

It's a really good album so I suggest you all go and give it a listen!

♥ Yankee Candles. Oh they are rather delightful aren't they? I fell in love a while back after I bought a ton of votive samplers. My favourites at present are apple cider and the cinnamon and sugar.

The votives don't last me very long though so I think I'm going to have to invest in some decent size ones because I burn them so much, especially when it gets to Winter.

♥ I've also been making the most of what's left of British produce. Don't those strawberries look delish? They haven't come very far either. They were grown quite close to me.

♥ Have you noticed how much I've blogged this month? I'm pretty sure this is the most I've blogged in a single month.

My new work hours are helping a lot with that. Although sometimes my sleeping will mess up (like now) I am really glad I changed. It is difficult getting out of bed at 5AM when it's cold though. :( But I crawl back in it for a little while as soon as I get home.

Long may it continue!

♥ I haven't been up to much the last fortnight really as I'm going to Cardiff in two weeks. Eeeee I'm so excited! I've never been to Wales before but since it's Callum's birthday and I have some time off work, I'm taking a trip up there.

♥ Have a feeling I'll be going to the Illamasqua counter. It's my closest (4 hours on the train)! So is there anything you suggest I check out? I was going to get colour matched to Skin Base but it seems it's pretty bad from reviews I looked up recently, which is a shame. :(

♥ Don't forget to follow my new Twitter if you still don't.

Inspiration #1.

Hey lovelies. So I've taken inspiration from a new blog I recently found called The Wellness Warrior. Normally TWW makes inspirational posts with quotes.

I thought I'd share with you some images I find inspiring, not just quotes. I'm a very visual person so pictures really do inspire me.

No copyright intended. I use We Heart It and Favim to find things and finding a proper content source is a bugger. :( I will try to credit where I can though.

Holo Tips.

I decided I wanted something different on my nails a few days ago. As I seem to have misplaced my Konad set when moving, my only option was free hand.

I was going to go with cocktail stick polka dots but honestly, I just showered and I really couldn't be bothered. :P

So I opted for free handed tips.

Flash and no topcoat:

Outside in sun with a topcoat:

I used a base of China Glaze IDK. Then for the tips I used China Glaze LOL, 2 coats of each and finished with China Glaze Fast Forward.

This would be an awesome mani to rock during the Summer months.

I wish I was more interested in nail polish when CG released the OMG collection because these holos are the most beautiful I've seen. I was hoping the Tron collection was like this but they weren't even close.

I love this combination so much I don't want to take it off!

I Am Closer To The Clouds Up Here.

Hello wonderful followers. I thought I'd take a break from posting nails, (although I do have an amazing one coming up soon!) and show you a little something I came up with this afternoon.

And yes, before you ask - I was having one of those days where I look fabulous but cannot for the life of me, take a good photo.

M.A.C Studio Moisture Tint - Light.
Benefit Boi-ing - Light.
M.A.C Blush Ombre - Azalea Blossom.
M.A.C Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Light.
HD Brow Powder - Light Brown*.

Smashbox Jet Set Liner - Midnight Black.
GOSH Intense Lashes.

M.A.C Lipstick - Rebel.

It's getting to that time of year when we tend to pop the coral lipsticks into the back of the draw and bring out the deep berry shades. Rebel is definitely one of my favourites.

It's a gorgeous deep berry fuchsia, that looks a touch brighter in real life then it does here.

I'm not usually a fan of dark lipsticks (unless they're not 'normal' colours) but this has the right amount of brightness to stop me from disliking it.

Quick Tips: How Not To Do Your Makeup.

This video just came up in my subscription box from TheYamiMaya and I had to share!

It amused me muchly.

Models Own - Gold Rush.

For a long time now, I've been lemming after a really rich yellow gold foil-y polish - namely Orly's Glitz & Glamour. I have seen many photos of it floating about Tumblr but hadn't found anything that was just what I wanted.

Until I was browsing the Boots stand a while back. I went into town last week and finally picked it up, I knew exactly which one I wanted.

Here is my new favourite beauty ...

I can't stop staring my nails. Isn't it wonderful? It's everything I wanted.
Rich yellow gold ✔
Foil finish ✔
Not ridiculously expensive ✔

I had to use 3 coats to achieve (mostly) full opacity. Totally my fault, I was painting with the curtains closed. It's quite a thin formula and I usually despise doing 3 coats but for this I shall forgive it.

I mean look at it!

From a distance it looks like a Minx type foil. It is truly amazing. And the tiny glitter particles, evident on my pinky, really lift the polish.

For £5 you honestly can't go wrong. This is my first experience with Models Own and it fulfilled my expectetions and so much more. It definitely won't be my last purchase.

Can We All Slow Down & Enjoy Right Now.

I finally took the plunge and cut my hair (that I'd been growing for over 5 years)!

Not the best photo, I know I know. I just really wanted to show you!

It was just the only one that came out when I got home from the hairdressers and it was all nice and mega shiny!

If you're in North Devon, I highly recommend Golds. It was the first time I went and I shall be going back again.

Also, they used to swear by GHD's, so imagine my utter surprise when Bo (who did my hair) came out with a pair of Cloud 9s!

I wanted a Jessie J kind of look and I got exactly that.

Better photos to come soon. :)

China Glaze - Frostbite.

Would you be mad if I did another nail post? If you answered, yes - look away now but you're gonna miss a beauty.

I picked this up last year on one of my first trips to Sally's. Just on a whim as I didn't have anything other then a midnight blue. In the bottle it looks like a regular royal blue. But when you put it on the nail it explodes with delightful hidden shimmer that really brings something special to the polish.

I used my phone camera for this to help pick up the shimmer. It is seriously so beautiful, I couldn't decide which photo to use, so have a few ...

2 coats, without a top coat. Isn't it wonderful?

This is the perfect middle blue. It's right between a pastel and a midnight blue and it is gorgeous!

Sally's keep it in the permanent few China Glaze's they stock all the time. So if you can pick it up, do. You won't regret it.

Shattered Tea.

Is it just me that's bored of the nail shatter trend?

Every brand is bringing out a range of crackles/shatters in a range of different colours. Which is great, it means there's something for everyone in any colour they fancy and it caters for all price ranges.

But it did kind of bore me. Well ... Black shatter that is. It's kind of stark and I don't like wearing it much but I picked up something whilst I popped into Sally's (for topcoat and remover) that has rekindled my love for shatters.

O.P.I Silver Shatter over Eyeko's Tea Rose:

Isn't it pretty?

It's not as stark as black and I love the high metallic shine of it. You could skip a top coat where as the black dries matte and can flake off without one/

I am much preferring silver and I recently saw that Barry M are releasing a gold and a silver crackle!

A Brilliant Bright Eye.

It seems my face is making a more regular appearance on here. That's a good thing right?

At the weekend I opted for bright blue eyes. I hadn't done in a long while and it reminded me of the way Jacqueline always manages to look fierce wearing lots of bright blue, especially on her lashline!

I hadn't planned on even making this a FOTD but I got at least one good photo so what the hell!

Illamasqua Matte Primer.
Revlon PhotoReady - Vanilla*.
(I realised after I'd done this I totally forgot to put on concealer, ack!)
Can't for the life of me remember what blush I used, sorry. But it's probably M.A.C's Well Dressed.
M.A.C Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Light.
M.A.C Impeccable Brow Pencil - Taupe.

Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil - Deviant (upper lashline), Electric (lower lashline).
GOSH Intense Lashes.

Just a touch of M.A.C's Creme D'Nude.

Deviant, which is you can't see too well, is a gorgeous royal blue. Whilst Electric is a super bright amazing amazing colour. It's personally my favourite eyeliner ever! In terms of colour, texture and all else that goes along with it. It's getting down to a little nubby pencil now.

The two blues worked really well together rather than having one or the other they blended into each other and gave a gradient kind of affect.

Have you ever done two liner? How did you find it? Any colour combinations you'd like to see? Because I am definitely trying this again!

Have You Shopped The New M.A.C Collections?

Just a small post for today as I just received a little black box. Nothing too interesting but though I'd still share.

I used to be a slave to M.A.C Collections and find something I wanted from everything but it seems of late I've just been underwhelmed.

Maybe because it's all too similar and I've seen it before? Who knows! I liked the idea behind M.A.C Me Over but none of it was really me, it was all much to neutral.

I did however pick up the online exclusive tote bag. I was looking for a nice one for ages and this is thick, durable canvas that fits nicely over the shoulder. Perfect when I don't want to carry a handbag or if I have extras to take with me.

Also popped in a Sheen Supreme lippie in Full Speed (watermelon coral) as I was £2 away from free deliver. ;) Plus I've yet to try this so I just had to really. I usually gravitate towards pale and bright pinks. This is something totally out of my norm and I look forward to wearing it.

Definitely more of a Summer colour but who says you have to stick to the rules?

Cut Crease Fail.

Ever have those days where you start off with a look in mind and it changes into something opposite?

I did start off with the idea in mind to do a Kim Kardash inspired black smokey eye. But when I started darkening the crease I decided to cut it and do a more striking white silver lid. It didn't come out as cut and crisp as I wanted but it was a day time look!

I also tried using Cheryl's Eylure lashes and I failed so bad. I usually get Eylure lashes on first time but the lash band on these were horrible. I tried so many times to get them on before and after makeup, to no avail so I had to skip. I think they would have made the look much better but there we go.

Here's what I came up with:

Illamasqua Matte Primer.
Benefit Some Kind-a Gorgeous - Lite.
Benefit Boi-ing - Light.
M.A.C Blush Ombre - Azalea Blossom.
M.A.C Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Light.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow - Buck (eyebrows).
M.A.C Impeccable Brow Pencil - Taupe.

Urban Decay Primer Potion.
M.A.C Paint Pot - Blackground (crease).
Urban Decay Eyeshadow - Uzi (all over lid).
M.A.C Eyeshadow - Silver Ring (crease), Electra (crease), Phloof! (highlight). Illamasqua Precision Ink - Abyss*.
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil - Zero (waterline, lower lashline).
Dior Blackout.

M.A.C Lipstick - Pink Nouveau.

I really liked the way it turned out eventually. :)

Also, this month I've been blogging like a trooper. Hopefully it continues and I don't end up burning out!

Sweet As Honey.

It's been quite some time since I had a little dip in the bath.

After I got home from work on Tuesday and my feet were aching like crazy, I decided I'd take the strain off and have a relaxing bath.

I was going to shower with Lush's It's Raining Men. I had yet to christen my 500ml bottle so I rooted around in my Lush draw to see if I had anything honey-ish for the bath.

Here is my new favourite bath combination:

It's Raining Men - For the bubbles and an extra honey kick.
Honey Bun Ballistic.
Honey I Washed The Kids soap.

It was lovely and sweet but not overly sickly.

I was left with silky smooth skin. This combination made the bath feel a bit more 'oily'. I hate that word because to me it has connotations of grease. But it was very hydrating to my skin.

Such a shame I can't buy Honey Bun any more but I think Honey Bee should suffice.

Also, if you didn't get It's Raining Men at Valentine's day when Lush made it limited edition *groan* (when I stocked up on mine)! Everyone loved it so much it has now been made permanent. Rejoice! Because it is amazing. Get yourself down to a Lush and have a whiff, you won't regret it.
