Rainbow Lucky Charms

Quick Tips: Get Rid Of Icky Lush Bits.

I do love Lush but some of the things they put in their products, well ... I'd rather not have them floating around a bath.

I actually went onto the site (which is currently not working) to check this is a Big Blue Ballistic like I thought, it is, just really old. So it's chock full of seaweed - ew.

I noticed a helpful point in the second review that said to put the Ballistic in an organza bag to filter it all out.

Charlie also suggested an old tight foot or stocking would also work the same!

It just so happens that I had an organza bag that I didn't know what to do with. It had all my Illamaqua Freak bits in ...

So far so good ...

Did it work completely?

Yes! Look at all that icky seaweed all collected in the bag.

Leaving me with bit free water.

A quick tip to get rid of any unwanted bits!

What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger, Stand A Little Taller.

♥ If you've missed me moaning on Twitter, I am currently suffering with some serious laryngitis. My word it is painful. I can barely swallow my own saliva, let alone drink or eat but I'm forcing fluids in me no matter the pain. Right now it's not getting any better and I can't talk at all so that really isn't great. Even if I tried, it can damage my vocal chords and prolong healing. :( My Mother thinks she's so hilarious expecting me to shout back to her and taking the pee when I whisper. I've just been sleeping as much as possible so I'm not awake and aware of the pain.

♥ I recently came across an app that is just like Instagam, only for Droid! Mytubo.net which I used to take these photos with. It's such a nice little app and it's also free. If you get it, do follow me (vanillafairy).

♥ Right before I got ill I came across a cute little shop in town, Smooth Bar. It's like a Shakeaway and FroYo hybrid. Although right now, they only have good toppings for their 100% fat free yoghurt. I opted for a Bounty milkshake to finish with. Apparently the shop's been there since New Year but I have failed to notice it. Shows how much I go to town, doesn't it? They do all the kinds of things Shakeaway do though, fruit shakes, chocolate ones. Literally everything. I shall definitely being going back again!

♥ I hope you've all enjoyed my Halloween theme on the blog, I know I have. But I shall be switching it up with something new on Tuesday.

♥ I feel bad for the lack of posting this last week too. I have never been so ill in my life (not an exaggeration) so I haven't really been doing a lot besides Tumblr and watching TV shows online. I'm still not 100% but hopefully I will be soon.

Dermablend - Go Beyond The Cover.

Have you seen the new Dermablend commercial? With none other then Rick Genest AKA Zombie Boy.

This product looks amazing! Check it out below.

I think Dermablend did an amazing job with the ad and they definitely chose the right person for it.

Nicki Minaj x O.P.I.

O.P.I are no strangers with jumping on a good thing. Just last year they collaborated with Katy Perry and now they're doing the same with another big star.

Nicki Minaj! Due to be released in January.

I feel this collection will definitely be a love/hate since it's how must people feel about her.

I never used to like her but I'm definitely a fan more recently.

I am loving the look of Pink Friday and Fly! Did It On 'Em reminds me of a polish from the Shrek collection. Super Bass is the only shatter of the collection.

Shop Everything, Even The Kitchen Sink.

I came across a website recently where you can literally buy anything.

That's not even the half of it!

ShopALike.co.uk has collaborated with a bunch of online stores (300 at this present moment), have other 15 thousand brands for every price range and over 14 million listed products!

It's the perfect place to look for something and compare loads of different price ranges and products from different stores, instead of having to flit between websites.

Such a good idea and I've got my eye on quite a few things. I shall definitely be purchasing my Winter boots from there, the only problem is choosing which ones.

On a side note sorry for the lack of posting, I'm not well! Think it's my yearly spout of tonsillitis. :(

Graze Box #2.

Last week I got my second Graze box.

Want to try your first box free and get a second half price? You don't even have to stay signed up after the free box!

Click here and use the code LMJJNZ2.

Here's what I got this week:

The Herb Garden (oregano rice crackers, baked herb bites and herb and onion peanuts) (78 kcal per punnet)
Crispy peanuts are ... Interesting to say the least. Can't say I'm a fan. The only thing I really liked from this punnet was the baked herb bites.

Honeycomb flapjack (rustic rolled oat flapjack with honeycomb and milk chocolate) (243 kcal p/p)
Amazing! One of my favourite combinations ever all topped off in a flapjack. Love it.

Toffee apple (sticky toffee sauce with Granny Smith apple slices) (64 kcal p/p)
I can't get over te lack of calories in this. I know it's mainly apple and you don't get much sauce but wow. The sticky toffee makes it. I wouldn't like the apple on it's own but with the burnt sugar sauce it is amazing!

Himalayas & Beyond (goji berries, macadamias and pinapple pieces) (131 kcal p/p)
I love the pineapple. Chewy but still remains it's flavour. I wasn't a big fan of macadamias before this and I'm still not entirely sure. They're ok. i can't currently decide if I like the goji berries though. I'm eating them as I write and they remind me of some kind of shrivelled up grape (which I don't like). I think this punnet will be a no go for me in future.

Box Rating - 14/20.

Cardiff Times.

Now I'm back properly *insert super sad face* I thought I'd show you pictures from the weekend.

Super amazing and I love Callum's camera. I need me a Canon DSLR. :)

Carry on after the cut as there's quite a few of them!

Lilac & Silver.

Are you bored of seeing me post O.P.I's Silver Shatter nail posts yet? Tough! >:)

Check out this beauty.

I started off with a base of Illamasqua's Jo'Mina.

Unf. Look at it. It's pulling a touch bluer then it actually is. Stupid purples. But isn't it gorgeous?

A beautiful understated combination. It's not as in your face as my last nail look.

It's Christmas!

Well not quite, I give people the stare when they mention it around me. You grow to hate Christmas when you've worked in retail for 6 years and it starts as soon as the kids go back to school in September.

But it's Christmas time at Lush! That I don't mind!

I didn't stop off at Lush in Cardiff. I had enough to carry home, I didn't need a big bag of Lush weighing me down so I stopped off at Exeter on the way home, when I treated my parents to dinner out. :)

I've been meaning to see if I liked the Dirty shower gel since I love the spray. Very refreshing and minty and as Lush hadn't had the 500ml of Snow Fairy in yet, I picked this up instead.

I didn't go to crazy with the other Christmas bits, I shall save that for closer to the end of the year.

Magic Wand with the scent of Snow Fairy so I had to have it and it looks cute, doesn't it?
Candy Mountain bubble bar, same as the Candy Cane from last year, just a different shape.
Cinders ballistic. My favourite thing ever and it's only £1.95, hence stocking up on 3 of them!
Northern Lights soap. How could I resist this?! Look at it! It looks like radioactive toxic waste!
Candy Cane soap. Sweet and minty and very reminiscent of actual candy canes.

Cardiff Purchases.

I am not a fan of doing hauls any more but since it was my first time away in ages and I haven't left England for about 5 or 6 years, I wanted to show you. Plus I finally got to go to my Illamasqua counter!

Dior 360 Mascara (I picked this up before I left home), Illamasqua Cream Blush - Sob, Sealing Gel, eyebrow Cake - Gaze.

M.A.C Matchmaster Foundation - 1, Illamasqua Skin Base - 2, Precision Ink - Abyss.

I was over and underwhelmed with the Illamasqua counter all at the same time. It was smaller and more compact then I expected. Plus, everything I've been after had vanished from my mind so I couldn't remember what I wanted.

I didn't want to go too crazy, just get some essentials that I've been after for a while.

I wasn't best pleased that the SA that 'helped' me, insulted my eyebrows though. :( I found that quite rude.

All in all I had an amazing time in Cardiff. I will be doing a proper post on it in the next few days.

Atomic Pink Shatter.

I'm still not bored of my Silver Shatter yet. Can you tell?

I couldn't decide on which colour I wanted so I decided to opt for two colours I hadn't used yet.

The Nails Inc. Fabulous polish in OMP! and Atomic Orange. Two coats of each.

Finished with a coat of O.P.I's Silver Shatter and China Glaze's Fast Forward.

I loved this combination and kept it on for ages without getting bored, which makes a change.

I can't wait to try it over Winter colours like deep blues and purples!

Graze Box #1.

I'm sure you've all heard of Graze, right?

I used to Graze back at the start of '10 but I stopped because I wasn't eating the punnets quick enough and they were either going dry or out of date

I've decided to give it another go so I can snack on something healthier.

Want to try your first box free and get a second half price? You don't even have to stay signed up after the free box!

Click here and use the code LMJJNZ2.

It gets delivered on the day you choose, straight through your letter box.

Here's what I got this week:

Smoked paprika, garlic & thyme rustic marble bread (116 kcal per punnet)
Graze suggest you eat this on the day it arrives as they bake it fresh each morning. I don't recall every trying paprika really but this is delicious.
I'm not a massive fan of bread unless it's super fresh and the olive oil that's added in this stops it from being too try.
It's got a tomato paste added to it so it gives it a Spanish taste. All topped off with black and white poppy seeds, yummy!

Banana Split (banana coins, cashews nuts & milk chocolate covered puffed rice) (174 kcal p/p)
I don't eat bananas as such but I remember when I was much younger I used to eat dried banana. It used to be super crisp and crunchy but it seems you can't buy it like that, they all seem to be really moist and I don't like them like that. I ate one and got rid of the rest.
The cashews were ok. A bit plain but when mixed with the puffed rice they were bearable.
And then the chocolate coated puffed rice. Yummys! Definitely the best bit of the punnet, they saved this punnet for me. Else I would have hated it.

Tomato dipinetti (rosemary grissinetti and tomato chutney) (77 kcal p/p)
I love this combination! The vinegar in the chutney is really evident but it tastes really good together.

Apple & cinnamon flapjack (240 kcal p/p)
A gorgeously sweet treat with chewy pieces of apple. I love flapjack and this was one of the things I was most excited for as the last time I got a Graze box, they didn't have these (or the dips or bread)! Really good for when you get a sweet craving and the apple and cinnamon work so well together!

Box rating - 16/20.
