Coveting Poison Ivy.

Last night I attended, what will no doubt be one of the last BBQs of the year. Such a shame as the short supply of Summer weather means they've been lacking.

It was amazing weather yesterday. Although I was pretty tired it, it was a good night. Good music, lots of laughs, too much food and great company.

I had intended on an easy on the eye look. I started at 5AM yesterday and I was still going until 11PM. But I decided to go with greens as they're opposite red on the colour wheel so I thought I'd make both my eyes and hair stand out.

M.A.C Matchmaster Foundation - 1.
Benefit Boi-ing - Light.
HD Brows - Dark Brown (Vamp Palette)*.
Illamasqua Cream Blush - Sob.
M.A.C Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Light.
Skindinavia Finishing Spray.

Urban Decay Primer Potion.
88 Shimmer Palette:

1 (brow/inner corner highlight), 2 (all over lid), 3 (crease), 4 (outer V).
Illamasqua Precision Ink - Abyss (upper lashline).
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil - Covet (blended into the outer V as a base for the shadow, lower lashline).
Barbara Daly - High Impact Mascara*.

Revlon Lip Butter - Sweet Tart.

I love these greens from the 88 Palette, I've said it so many times before but they are amazingly bright and they look even better with red hair. Whilst I was doing this look the greens with the red hair really reminded me of Poison Ivy from the Batman comics, hence the title.

I got a bunch of compliments and the look held up all evening, even with my tired, watery eyes. Definitely a favourite of mine.

I've also fallen back in love with my Skindinavia Finishing Spray. I find that whilst using powder keeps oil under control it can look to flat and cakey. THis brings back a slight dewy hint back to the face and it stops the powder caking and just gives an overall flawless finish.
