Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel.

It's that time of year where Lush's favourite fairy comes out of hibernation for just a few short months, to sprinkle some festive Christmas magic and grant you one wish (if that wish if that you want to smell uh-mazing)!

If there's one thing I love, it's scents, even though I happen to be rubbish at describing them. I hate the thought of ever smelling bad so smellies are very much a love of mine.

I really don't like making decisions but if I had to narrow it done to my favourite (let's just go with my favourite from Lush), it would have to be Snow Fairy. What made me decide that? Read on to find out.

What says:
She'll cast a spell on you. Our winter temptress shower hair and body gel that’s bursting with fruit fragrance and has a sparkle of ice through it.

Now we must confess, it’s a mystery to us why this one particular product should become our No 1 Christmas bestseller. It’s not your classic hippy dippy Lush herbal offering. Instead it is an intensely sweet, fruity pink shower gel loved by people everywhere.

Snow Fairy refuses to be pigeonholed. All sorts of people fall for her charms. We never fail to be amazed at the wide array of people who seem to love this pink confection. We have photos and letters from you, telling us your little girl likes it, it’s your gran and granddad’s favourite, your brother pinches it, etc, etc. We were even once sent a photo of a bunch of soldiers using it in the barracks showers!

So don't write Snow Fairy off as pink and girly. Its smell of candy floss and pear drops transports all of us back to days of standing in the sweet shop with our pocket money clasped in our fist, trying to decide what to buy.

Grab her and take her into a shower near you – you may have found a friend for life.

Every year since I first came across this gem, I've invested in a 500g bottle to last me until it's next release. Last year I didn't manage to get one as both Lush's I went to just before Christmas were sold out of the 500 and I didn't fancy settling for a small one. So I've been on strict rations since the Summer, using it sparingly and making sure I didn't waste a drop, so I'm really glad to see it back.

This year I'm doing well though as I picked up one on my trip to Bristol and Mumma also bought me one back from a little trip to Poole.

This has to be the sweetest scent Lush do. I can see why people would dislike it if they prefer more fruit or woody scents. It's very bubblegummy. For me, only a hint of pear comes through but it's definitely more candy like than anything else.

As with all Lush shower gels that I've tried it lathers up really well and doesn't leave my skin feeling at all dry, rather quite the opposite.

I love teaming this with all my Snow Fairy scent products. I especially love getting out of the shower and popping on some 'Candy Fluff' a long discontinued body powder that smelled exactly like this. I'm on my second to last bottle and it doesn't look as though it's coming back as a 'retro' product. Boo hiss! I also have the Snow Fairy solid perfume and lip tint that didn't make a comeback this year. Alongside this the Magic Wand bubble bar, Bubblegum lip scrub, and the Fluffy Egg ballistic (Easter) have the same scent.

So if you do love the scent you can get quite a few products that all go together.

I find the scent lingers around for a while afterwards. Some people see that as a good thing, others not so much. I personally like it when you can still smell it on you. Late into the day, hours after showering, my bathroom is always still smelling wonderful.

Overall I love this product and really do rate. It's not a bad price and it really lasts, it's one of my favourites and definitely my all time go to.
