Back in September I posted about my first Cath purchase, the berry spot purse. Since then I've been lemming so much stuff from the website it's unreal.
Cath Kidston has been around since the '90s but over the past year especially, it seems to have gotten really popular. For that reason I think perhaps that's why it's developed such a strong love it/hate it sentiment. I will admit I'm not a fan of some of the big floral prints, especially the ones in for this season. But there are certain bits and pieces I really do love.
What www.cathkidston.co.uk says:
This practical design in our classic Spot print is a popular choice of bag for everyday essentials. The durable oilcloth finish makes it easy to wipe clean and it is completed with cotton webbing handles and leather trim.
Other handy features include a main zip fastening and internal zipped pocket, so you can be sure your belongings are kept safe. And just to finish it off - there are two handy side pockets - great for housing your brollie or a bottle of water!
I ended up picking this up unexpectedly. I had to travel to an interview at the start of the December and didn't really have any suitable bags that could fit a whole load of stuff in it. Since I'd been wanting this for a little while I went and purchased this from a small boutique where I used to live.
Since then I've pretty much used it every day. It's an extremely hard wearing bag. I don't have to baby it to much in case I do something to ruin it. The oil cloth is great in the rain as it just runs right off it, without fear of the contents inside getting damp.
It's big and roomy enough to fit my DSLR in it's big padded case, plus other essentials like keys, purse, makeup and anything else I need to carry.
The side pockets are really hand to keep little things in like mints, hair clips. If I have a drink it's really hand to pop that in their too because it means it's not taking up space inside the bag and I don't have to go rummaging for it.
The print is a lovely berry shade with cream spots. It was the perfect shade for Winter!
I really couldn't be happier with my purchase. Some may say it's a little pricey but I don't think the pricing is too bad in comparison to other brands.
