L'Oreal Skin Perfection Purifying Micellar Water.

Ever since Bioderma made an appearance on our shores, everyone has raved about it. I always wanted to buy it but it's pretty expensive for what is in effect, a make up remover.

So when I saw this L'Oreal version in Boots not too long ago (especially at a barginous £4.99 each or 2 for £5), I had to pick it up and try it.

What www.loreal-paris.co.uk says:
L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection Purifying Micellar Water, high performance cleansing for sensitive skin. Used by make-up artists, the 'micellar' solution swiftly removes all traces of make-up and acts like a purifying magnet on skin's surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities. So gentle, skin feels soothed and toned. Hypo-allergenic. No Alcohol. Dermatologically tested.

There isn't a whole lot I can say about this, especially as I have nothing to compare it to. What I will say is it's fabulous at removing every trace of my makeup. Including Illamasqua's very waterproof Precision Ink. I've always had trouble removing it with any kind of makeup remover, it really does stay put.

I use this on a cotton pad as the first step in my double cleanse. It's not something that leaves my face feeling 'clean' enough to not warrant a proper cleanser. So I remove my makeup with this and then use my Clarin's Cleansing Milk.

If you don't want to invest in Bioderma (£9.99 / 250ml) this is a wonderful alternative and still does just as good a job as removing every bit of stubborn makeup. Definitely a repurchase from me.
