Glossybox - January.

A new year, brings a new Glossybox. They've ditched the matte box with the logo in the middle. Instead opting to put it in a glossy coated box, with the logo and name in the middle. It even comes with a more sturdy lid - the little things!

To kick off the new year we have the 'back to basics' box*.

Montagne Jeunesse - Passion Peel Off Masque & Blemish Mud Masque
I've always seen these but never tried them. I do think they're somewhat expensive for one use, considering you can get masks for a little less than £5 that you can get at least 10 uses out of.
But I've really been loving face masks of any kind lately so I'm looking forward to trying them.

Yu-Be - Moisturising Skin Cream
£13.50 / 33g
Apparently this cream is a multi use, cult product from Japan that revamps your skin as it's loaded with vitamins and glycerine.
It goes on and sinks into the skin easily enough but I can't get past the smell. To me, it reminds me of Vicks VapoRub. An unscented version would be so much better.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company - Floral Slanted Tweezers
Quite possibly the star product of the box. In my opinion you can't have enough pairs of tweezers. I'm sure they have little legs and carry themselves off to goodness knows where.
I'm not big on the design, though I know it's the kind of thing some people love. It's just not my thing but it doesn't bother me enough not to use them, that would just be silly.

Balance Me - Super Toning Body Wash
£10.25 / 250ml
Balance Me is a brand that have appeared in quite a few boxes in the past. Which isn't something I mind as all the products, that I've tried at least, seem to be of really nice quality and work really well.
This toning body wash has a blend of juniper, bergamot, geranium and lavender essentials oils. Apparently this makes it good for any areas prone to cellulite and dimples.
It's a really refreshing scent with just a hint of citrus, perfect to get you going in the morning.

Anatomicals - Puffy The Eye Bag Slayer Wake-Up Under Eye Patches
£6 / 3 pack
I've only just recently tried under eye patches after I started trialling another brand, post on those soon!
These are jelly like patches which feel a little odd when you first take them out of the sachet. But they are incredibly cooling when you put them on.
Anatomicals say they help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and revitalise the delicate skin around your eyes.

Overall I think this was a bit of a meh box. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Especially after the great end to last year with the festive box. Hopefully Glossybox will redeem themselves next month with perhaps a Valentine's themed box. Who knows?
