Glossybox - August.

It seems the last 3 years have flown by. To mark the 3rd anniversary of Glossybox, August brings us the 'birthday' box*.

Yves Rocher - Nail Polish - Rose
£3.60 / 3ml
I've never tried anything from the Yves Rocher makeup range. I didn't realise they had such a large selection of different items.
This isn't my type of colour usually but it's inoffensive for day to day wear.

Kryolan x Glossybox - Highlighter - Cashmere
£12.95 / 4.5g
I was quite excited about this as I tend to prefer cream and liquid highlighters. They blend seamlessly into the skin and look a lot more natural than their powder counterpart.
This highlighter has a really light texture, you don't need a lot to give a natural glow to the face. The colour leans more towards a golden tone but not so much that it wouldn't suit paler skin tones.

Lalique - L'Amour EDP
£67 / 50ml
Reading the ingredients of this it's not something I'd usually like. I always choose sweet, fruity scents over musks.
This has notes of rosebuds, fresh bergamot, white floral heart notes and a musk base.
As I said, it's not something I'd usually go for but I actually really rather like it. It's more of a sophisticated scent.

Comfort Zone - Essentials Cleansing Milk
£20 / 250ml
My preferred cleanser is always a milk, I think they're more gentle on the skin. I have yet to try this but when I run out Clarins cleansing milk, I'm sure this will become a daily staple.

Philip Kingsley - Elasticizer
£38 / 250ml
This has featured a couple of times in previous boxes but I've never actually tried it. I'm curious to see how this works out on my hair as it's a much talked about hair staple, so it seems.

Figs & Rouge - Mini Hand Cream - Mango Mandarin
£6.95 / 80ml
I'm not a massive fan of this hand cream. In my opinion it smells a little odd. It's a very thin texture once you start rubbing it into your hands but it does make them lovely and soft. The scent is the only thing that puts me off.
I think this a great size to carry around in your handbag though.

Whilst I try not to expect anything from monthly beauty boxes, that way I won't be disappointed. But I did expect something a little more 'wow' for their birthday box.
I do however love the highlighter, I think that's my favourite item out of the entire box and one I can see myself getting lots of use out of.
