Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm.

I love wearing makeup but one of the things I hated was taking it off. It always seemed like such a chore. Once it's done though, nothing feels better than letting your skin breath.

Quite some time ago Caroline Hirons posted about this and since then everyone seems to have picked up and raved about it. It can often be hard to hold of because it seems to be constantly out of stock. So when I saw it in Boots I just had to pick it up.

Cliniques Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is a lightweight balm. I've never used anything like this to take my makeup off so I have nothing to compare it to. I use it as my first cleanse, starting with a small amount and warming it in my palms before massaging it into my face, whilst dry. If needed I add a little more, generally depending on how much eyeliner I've been wearing, yano? I then rinse with warm water and follow up with my second cleanse.

It melts away even the most stubborn, waterproof of makeup including any that contain SPF. It feels soft, smooth and silky on the skin, not at all oily and greasy like I imagined. It also doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and uncomfortable like it does after using micellar waters. The balm itself isn't scented which is kind of boring but it means there's no added fragrance oils which could irritate sensitive skin.

I cannot recommend this highly enough. It's one of those products that does exactly what it says. It's easy to use and makes removing makeup so much more enjoyable. If that's even a thing?
