Blowing Away The Cobwebs.

Every now and then I think we all need to get away, even just for a few hours. It's perfect for clearing your head and putting everything back in perspective. Things have been a little odd of late. I say odd because I can't quite describe it. I'm sure (and hope) I'm not alone in this. Something hasn't felt right if you will. Whether that's something that's missing or something that's going on, I'm not able to put my finger on it so I'm unable to work towards fixing it.

A couple of days ago my mum (who is currently up visiting) and I took a road trip to Hayling Island. I haven't seen seawater or been near the coast since before I moved over 2 years ago. It was the perfect chance to take my mind off things for a little while and a good excuse to get proper feel for my Olympus PEN E-PL7. I've had it for a little while but haven't had a chance to take much other than product photos for my blog, shameful I know.

We opted for a sunny but blowy walk along the seafront and by that I mean we actually witnessed someone struggling to open her car door because it was blowing such a gale. Before stopping for a spot of lunch. Then it was another walk back along the coast, with some running away from waves thrown in. To protect my camera from the water - obviously! Before finishing the day off at the amusement arcades. It's amazing how much entertainment you can get with a little pot of 2 pences. There's something satisfying about hearing the sound of a bunch of coins falling off the edge and into the winning tray.

It was just what I needed and has left my mind feeling a little less cluttered.
