My Little Provence Box.

For May the theme for My Little Box was 'Provence'. In 1976 L'Occitane was founded in Haute-Provence so it's only natural that this is what it includes.

My Little Doll Provence Magnets - £6
These magnets are really cute and a bit of a throwback to being younger. I definitely had magnet sets like this before. Or the paper version where you'd cut out clothes to dress people up.

Embroidery Cuff - £15
This is such an interesting idea and one I've not seen before. The idea behind it being that you can stitch any pattern you'd like on the cuff, using the threads provided.
I haven't given this a go yet because I don't want to mess it up. As I don't wear gold, I have someone in mind who will get more wear out of this than me (I hope).

L'Occitane - Verbena Body Lotion
£20 / 250ml
When I first got my box I opened the soap first and fell in love with the scent. So I was pleased to see this body lotion shares the same light, zesty citrus fragrance.
This body lotion is light and absorbed easily into the skin, leaving behind a subtle perfume. It doesn't feel at all greasy and leaves no residue behind.

L'Occitane - Verbena Leaf Soap
£4.50 / 75g
The verbena soap contains crushed verbena leaves that help to lightly exfoliate when washing. L'Occitane say this has a non-detergent cleansing base so won't dry out your skin like most soaps tend to.
Again it has a light citrus scent that is refreshing and clean. Definitely one for the summer.

L'Occitane - Mer & Mistral Shower Gel
£12 / 175ml
This is described as a summer holiday in a bottle. They wanted to make 'sea' meet with 'breeze'.
It results in a really fresh, clean scent that isn't too offensive.

L'Occitane - Roses Et Erines Hand & Nail Cream
£14 / 75ml
I've never been a fan of rose fragrances. Whilst I don't hate this as it's not too strong, I'm not in love with it. It contains rose extract so it's not an artificial scent and it's light on the skin.
The cream itself is very thin and sinks into your hands ridiculously quickly. I do find it leaves somewhat of a residue behind but that can easily be rubbed away.

My Little Beauty - Eyeshadow Crayon
£9 / 1.5g
This eyeshadow crayon is a medium, metallic brown. The light just bounces of it. It's extremely pigmented even with just one swipe across the lids. It works well with both neutral dramatic looks.
What's more is once it's set it doesn't budge at all. It's also somewhat waterproof. When I first swatched this on my hand I scrubbed my hands twice and it was still there. It has some serious staying power. Perfect if you're in a rush and need something all day. Just pop it over the lids, give it a quick blend, finish with mascara and you're done.

I really feel like My Little Box pulled this theme out of the bag. Everything goes so well together and really represents the idea they were going for.

Whilst the L'Occitane products are all sample sizes, I think they're perfect if you go away and you don't want to take too much with you. They're all products I wouldn't have necessarily tried had it not been for receiving them in this box. I think that's the great thing about these subscriptions, though they can be hit and miss. You get to try out some wonderful products that you maybe haven't heard of or never even thought to try.
