London IMATS 2015 - The Weekend.

Another year of IMATS has been and gone. Like last year I only attended the Saturday, though I was provided with a pass* to attend both days. I would have done so had I not had something on the Sunday which I couldn't rearrange.

I started the morning off on my own which gave me a chance to head to a couple of places, namely Make Up For Ever and Urban Decay before they were absolutely crammed with people. MUFE just recently launched into Debenhams but unless you were around London, you couldn't buy it except online. So their stand is always exceptionally busy and one you want to head to early. When I went to pay there was only one other person in front of me.

Urban Decay exhibited for the first time this year and their booth was absolutely beautiful. It was quite a bit bigger than I thought it was going to be but I'm glad about that. Everytime I passed it later on in the day there was a lot of people there. Quite a few of their products had completely sold out by lunchtime.

Though I'm not a massive fan of Bobbi Brown in terms of their makeup, it was nice to see that they had a really large booth this time around. Previous years it has been absolutely tiny. It was beautifully decorated too, lots of vases of peonies and plenty of inspirational photos and books.

This year I invested in an Olympus Pen E-PL7 and it's days like this that make me glad I did. It was an extremely hot day and it was really warm inside Kensington Olympia. It made a nice change not to have to lug my big Canon around. I love it dearly but it's nice to have a small(ish) camera that I can still have a lot of control over in regards to the settings I use.

This year it seemed like there was a lot more people there. Perhaps it was just me though. It was also a shame that some of the regular previous exhibitors didn't attend this year, like OCC and Charles Fox. Though there was still plenty to choose from.

If you've ever wanted to go to IMATS, I can highly suggest it. If you're a makeup artist or just an enthusiast, I really feel like you should experience it at least once. The ticket prices can seem quite high but when you think of how the majority of the brands can be quite heavily discounted, you can make your money back as it were.

I shall leave you with a small selection of photos I took ...

Until we meet again next year, IMATS!
