The Body Shop - Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask.

Every now and then a product comes into my life and it totally changes everything. It leaves me thinking to myself how did I ever manage without it.

I'd seen quite a lot of bloggers talking about this strange new face mask. Strange in the sense that firstly you leave it on and go to sleep. Secondly the texture but I'll talk about that a little later on. So I had to see what the fuss was all about.

As I mentioned this is a face mask that you apply last thing at night and as the name suggest you sleep in it. You can apply directly after toning but I like to apply my Hydraluron serum and use it after. You can use it both ways, either is perfectly ok.

So what's in it? First up it's enriched with edelweiss stem cells. Edelweiss is an extremely resilient flower with potent regenerative properties. It also contains caffeine which helps with circulation. Hyaluronic acid which I'm already a big fan of. It holds 100x it's weight of moisture so really helps to lock in and retain high levels of moisture. Especially good for dry skin. Fair Trade babassu oil which is a light and non greasy oil, which also helps the skin to retain moisture. And the last key ingredient is adenosine which is a known pro-collagen active which increases the skin's production of elastin and collagen.

It has a unique, bouncy texture that has a memory shape texture. You can mix it up, do whatever you want and it will eventually go back to being completely flat. Perfect for bloggers because I could use it before I photographed it! The texture is like nothing I've ever seen before. It comes with a scoop to help you pick up the product. It's sort of like a jelly so as soon as you scoop some out and onto your fingers, it will start melting. You need to work quickly in massaging this because it really relaxes once it's on your skin.

It's works well alongside the rest of my skincare routine, really helping to seal in other products. Hence why I use it after my Hydraluron. I've also read that it's great for long haul flights because those can play havoc with your skin. Along with cold temperatures and air conditioning. So it helps keep the skin naturally hydrated.

As far as packaging goes it comes in a pretty hefty glass jar so it's not the lightest if you're travelling. But something about it does make it feel a little extra special.

I've been debating getting this for quite some time and it was the price tag that put me off. But you need such a small amount that it's going to last me for quite a while. I absolutely love using and am so glad to have it as staple in my skincare routine. My skin looks refreshed and full of moisture when I wake up which is always the start of a great base for makeup. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
