The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution.

I can't believe this is my first review from The Ordinary. I've been using a small collection of their products for the last couple of years and seem to have missed reviewing them. I'm not sure why that is.

One of the newest additions to my skincare routine is the peeling solution mask and it's something I've been loving recently.

This blood-red mask is an exfoliating chemical peel that treats the top layer of skin, leaving behind a brighter and clearer complexion. It helps fight against visible blemishes, blocked pores and fine lines.

It contains 30% alpha hydroxy acids which include glycolic, lactic, tartaric and citric. 2% beta hydroxy acid which is salicylic acid as well as hyaluronic acid, black carrot and vitamin B5. The colour comes from the use of Tasmanian pepperberry which has anti-inflammatory properties so perfect for calming down any angry spots you might currently have. It also helps with reducing irritation that can occur with acid use.

Once applied the maximum amount of time it can be left on for is 10 minutes, usually, I leave masks on for longer than stated but as this can potentially damage your skin I make sure I keep an eye out for the time on this one.

It can get a little tingly once on but nothing uncomfortable or burning, just a little bit to show it's working. If it does start burning you should rinse it off immediately. I then rinse off with some lukewarm water, use a little cleanser to make sure there isn't any left and then go about my regular skincare routine.

My skin definitely looks a lot less dull afterwards and I feel like it really helps with keeping my face under control so I make sure I use it twice a week. It's important when using this to make sure you use your SPF as it can make your skin more sensitive and prone to burning.
